DCE Inspects Road Construction.

The District Chief Executive(DCE) for Shai- Osudoku District Assembly Hon Fred Offei and his entourage have inspected the ongoing reshaping of an 8km road stretch from Asutsuare to Tokpo in the Greater Accra Region.

The construction is being undertaken by a Chinese firm Fujian company following an agreement initiated by the Assembly for the firm to fulfill its corporate social responsibility to the people.

The stretch of road has become very bad, The DCE negotiated with the company to reshape the road of its economic and social importance to the people in the area.

Interacting with the contractor, he said the construction is expected to be completed in two weeks' time.

The road is currently being filled with gravels after which tarring would continue.

The assembly has provided some logistical support to the construction firm to facilitate the facelifting and upgrading of the road.

When completed, the road would provide easy access to the town.

Some equipment the company helped with are two Excavators, Roller, one bulldozer, and four tepa trucks.
