Sod Cutting of the Construction of Water Station

The District Chief Executive of Shai-Osudoku District, Hon. Daniel Teye Akuffo on Tuesday 28th January 2020 cut a sod for the construction of the water station at Volivo.

The project aim at providing portable drinking water for the community and its environs is sponsored by the Safe Water Network in collaboration with the District Assembly.

Nene Narh Ankrah II, Chief of the town expressed his gratitude to everyone present at the Occasion and used the opportunity to commend "The Hon. Chief Executive for his hard work to lobby for this great Innovative project in the community "

Speaking at the event, Mr. Akuffo said when he had the proposal, Volivo was the first community in mind because "I am very much aware of the water challenge in the community".

He pleaded with the community to try and maintain it when the project is completed for it can serve as employment to some of them.

The Assistant Construction Manager of Safe Water  Network, Eric Bartels promised the community Members the project will be completed in three months but due to some lab tests and ensuring quality service, it will take six months to start operation.

He, therefore, urged the people to support them with human labor and also help protect their materials for the project.
